The Brussels Groove Collective, a jazz vocal ensemble born out of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, is much more than a choir: it’s a musical experience where groove, engagement, and transmission come together. Under the direction of pianist and singer Pete Churchill — a leading figure in vocal jazz, professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London, and head of the jazz vocal department at the Brussels Conservatory — they shape a radiant and powerful sound, driven by collective energy.
Their repertoire spans eras and genres, from jazz and gospel standards to groove anthems, protest songs, and ballads... From Duke Ellington to Paul Simon, from Stevie Wonder to Labi Siffre, including original compositions by Pete Churchill and a few traditional tunes — every song carries a story, a message, a shared emotion.
