don Marsh V, the acoustic quintet founded by pianist Wouter Van den Broeck, unites the feedom of jazz with the emotional power to put your heart on fire, and the intellectual complexity to dazzle the mind. Imagine a prodigious missing link between Mingus and Beethoven. The debut album ‘Marshland’ is structured around a kind of sonata with four-movements that take the listener on a journey with a broader narrative.

Attracted both to the language of modern jazz and contemporary music, Tom Bourgeois guides you from renaissance and baroque to jazz, from improvisation to chamber music, from hints of blues to unhinged swing. ‘Murmures’ quartet became ‘Rumeurs’, with 11 versatile and unique musicians. This mystical, introspective and spiritual music angrily lashes out without warning while Tom Bourgeois explores unexpected terrains.

Macondo is the combination of drummer Angelo Moustapha (accomplice of Philip Catherine and Lionel Loueke, 2017 best drummer in Africa, Talent d’Afrique 2021) and saxophonist Sylvain Debaisieux, leading voice on the Belgian jazz and improvised music scene (plays with Stéphane Galland, Pentadox, Lynn Cassiers, Ghalia Benali). Since two musicians are no trio, they invited the talented bassist Federico Stocchi (Toots Thielemans Awards 2018). If there was a Top Gun for jazz, these guys would be acing it. 

ODIL serves jazz and improvised music - influenced by Jim Black, Tim Berne, Steve Lehman, and Carla Bley – with the raw power of a rock band. The band appeals to a wide variety of people, from adepts to improvised music to fans of rough riffs. This band’s latest release sprung from Camille-Alban's passion for the Beat Generation authors, vocalized by singer Nina Kortekaas (Noa Lee).

Joël Francis, the talented singer, poet and songwriter from Bruges brings her crisp take on jazz, soul and pop influenced by HER, Sza en Jazmine Sullivan.

Everything is about experience: a concert is more than listening to music, it is breathing it in, moving into it, embracing the atmosphere, the concept, and merging into it.

NNAVY is a young soul artist from Lausanne, Switzerland. Her musical realm navigates between blues, jazz and R’n’B. Her soulful and hypnotic voice immerses us into an ocean of melancholy. Influenced by artists such as Tom Misch, Daniel Caesar, FKJ and Nina Simone, NNAVY invites us to open up our hearts and simply let us be carried along by her music.

Banda Bruselas is a Salsa project that has formed under the direction of Peter Van Marle as part of the Royal Conservatory Study Program. The band that consists of 4 singers, 6 horns, 1 violin and a 6 member-rhythm section, plays classical and modern salsa-hits. This repertoire is the combination of songs from the Fania Records-era , Willie Colon, Ruben Blades and Eddie Palmieri. Also songs by Cuban artists such as Osdalgia , Manolito Simonet & Su Trabucu are on the repertoire-list. Their repertoire is based on arrangements from the 60s - such as by Joe Henderson and Tadd Dameron - and their own works that refer to that period. The octet aims to bring a festive ambiance with music full of subtlety that both challenges and immerses the listener in the atmosphere of groove and swing.

Ee_Collective is a jazz improv-based quartet comprised of four musicians who pursue avant-garde music in a somewhat wild and intense yet still artistic manner. The saxophonist Hyung Jin Lee, drummer Diogo Alexandre, pianist Chae Yeon Lee, and bassist Robin Lisandru Couderc form this Brussels-based project. Through composition and performance, they express various styles with new interpretations that highlight their individual differences and similarities, all while sharing a common passion. They are capable of delivering a performance that is never dull.

In five pieces of music, this musical project tells the story of five weekdays spent in the city. What does one experience in that environment? How does one live in a world that is constantly agitated, sometimes even violent, but also full of life and fantastic?

HU! is a jazz sextet that challenges today’s unconscious gender biases and the small number of female jazz instrumentalists. Using the power of music and humour, HU! is a friendly invitation to question our own gender biases. Playing with the traditional roles of musical instruments, they transform relatable situations from daily life into music.

Bex is the project of singer, songwriter and producer Rebecca Driesmans and brings a mix of alt-pop, warm vocal layers and improvisation. Through her background in jazz and love for electronic music, she creates an atmosphere in which her musicians and the audience can lose themselves.
