CINEMA ITALIA (IT)
The group, made up of two of the most interesting promises of European jazz, is characterized by a sound that ranges between jazz, folk and contemporary genres. The duo was born on the terraces of Chioggia and breathes in the streets of Florence, where thanks to the absence of a rhythmic instrument and a common musical identity the two musicians create new sound horizons. Both composers create a repertoire characterized by original pieces specifically written for this ensemble and a revisitation of some pieces from the Italian national heritage, from Puccini to traditional Maremmani pieces up to Morricone. This is CINEMA ITALIA after all, a halfway meeting place where you can dream about the past and imagine the future.
